soo i haven't blogged in over a month!! lots has happened since (if you care to read on, because you're probably procrastinating a paper/studying at the moment anyway)
well, weeks 8-10 were absolute nerd weeks, because all 4 of my MTs and term papers were due in week 10, and at warwick (and i think in UK uni's in general) you get less assignments to do, but then they are each weighed much more heavily, and you're not really tested on lecture material, but rather on your own research into a particular topic. so yeah, these past few weeks have been lots and lots of researching, library use, and referencing about 22 works in my international business strategy paper (which was only 1500 words anyway!! ahh). that was just an example. on top of other assessments and group work. very different from the typical cram-and-spit-back-on-the-midterm style at berkeley, i think.
BUT i finished all that this past thurs, the 13th, soooo to celebrate, some friends and i went to KARAOKEE in birmingham!! (yes, asian fob song karaoke, like at home, does exist in england)

their pricing plan (see here: http://www.padthai.co.uk/pdf/2008/roompriceFeb08.pdf) is pretty cool!!!
so we got the 6-person room, from 6-11:20pm, for £88. that INCLUDES £88 worth of food/drink ordered from the restaurant menu! so essentially, you’re just paying for the food, and you get the room for free for 5 hours!! so it was about.. £15 per person for lots of pretty good thai food and more than enough singing (not rushing thru songs like we usually do, being cheapos at music tunnel haha) :D:D def going again, because a good deal is hard to find in england.
friday i packed like mad and moved out of my dorm. the school rents out my building over our 5-week easter break to rich business people who attend conferences at WBS (biz school), sooo i'm basically kicked out so they can make hotel revenue. hahaa. but i guess it's good cuz i don't pay for rent for those 5 weeks! i've been staying at ingrid's and then judy's for the weekend, before my flight home out of london. i'm uber lucky to have these 2 good friends (UC) who live in each of the two surrounding campus towns.
saturday ingrid and i went to the Bicester Village Outlets!! it was GREAT! hahaha lots of nice bags at burberry, dior, and ferragamo, among others (which i didnt recognize at all, but ingrid knew them all and relative prices in the US haha. freaking crazy southcoast plaza). there’s also jimmy choo and northface too haha. i got a bag, and then checked online later, and it's the current spring line being sold on the US website, AND i got it for 48% cheaper than the current price listed!! YAYYYYYY happy day
loved it. must go again. once we ... save up more moolah.. by cooking everyday...
today (sunday) ingrid and i went to cadbury world!!! basically, imagine willy wonka's choc factory (everything is purple), anddd replace the oompa loompas with little chocolate egg mascots, and that's what we experienced today!! it was so fun, and kinda like a theme park, with its own little 'small-world-ride' like disneyland hahaha. and there were billlionsss of little kids on fieldtrips, so they were cute and made me feel tall and mighty :)
